Do I qualify for a home-visit eye test?
If you’re unable to get to an optician unaccompanied due to a physical or mental illness, you’ll qualify. You may also be entitled to a free NHS test or help with the cost of your glasses - our team can check for you.
How long until my glasses arrive?
Normally within 2–3 weeks of your test, we return to personally hand-deliver and fit your glasses, making any adjustments before we leave. Free aftercare continues all year.
Is a home eye test the same as the high street?
Yes. Our optometrists bring portable versions of all the essential equipment and carry out a full sight test and eye-health check in the comfort of your own home or care home.
Can someone living with dementia be tested?
Absolutely. Our optometrists adapt the test to each person and don’t rely on verbal communication, using objective methods so everyone receives an accurate, appropriate result - with dignity and patience.
What does it cost?
NHS-funded home eye tests are free for those who qualify. Hearing screening is free; ear wax removal is £129, and a full audiology assessment is £109 - refunded if you go on to buy hearing aids.
